The hike to the top was beautiful, and the descent to the tent even better. Richard took us on a tour of a former hydroelectric plant and made us an incredible dinner – like, a REAL dinner – fish, vegetables and salad. Sleeping in the tent was super memorable, the views were breathtaking, and breakfast in the morning (again, a REAL breakfast that included coffee!) capped off an amazing time. I would do this again without hesitation and recommend it to anyone visiting Norway!”
“Literally one of the most amazing experiences I’ve ever had! Our guide, Esther, made this so wonderful. It ended up being myself and my boyfriend but that made it to where it felt like us and Esther were just old friends going on a camping trip. She provided us dinner and breakfast, talked to us about Norwegian history and culture, and she took us on a history tour of the hydroelectric buildings at the top of Lilletopp. This is something that I want to do agian, just because it was so much fun doing it this time. Don’t let fear stop you, it’s very safe, and Esther takes every precaution to make sure you’re sage on top of the cliff and in the tent. 10/10 would recommend and do again!
Richard is an amazing host / guide ! We had a great and unique stay. It is a true experience that I recommend a 100%! Richard is super welcoming and friendly: he has answered all our questions and provided us with all the information we need. We were very comfortable, and always felt very safe.
Richard and Esther provided an amazing and unique experience, with combining nature, adventure and information. They have the knowledge and passion and a friendly approach towards clients which made spending the time with them a pleasure.

My wife and I, did a Via Ferrata and Cliff camping in Sept 1st week of 2023. We were bit skeptical at first as there wasn’t much review and videos online, additionally they don’t have check-out page and transferring payment seems bit off. Nonetheless, we went on with booking, Angel was our guide and he was amazing, very knowledgeable about the history of Tyssedal and went above and beyond to make our experience memorable. My wife had no experience climbing and was very nervous, Angel was very patient with us and made us feel very safe. I’d highly recommend anyone with/without climbing experience to give it a shot and thank me later.
My wife and I were not sure what to expect from this trip, but we were really excited. The experience was even better than we had expected! Richard (our guide) was knowledgeable, polite, and a wonderful guide. We were given the history of the area, a tour of the old hydroelectric tunnels, a wonderful appetizer, camp dinner, and Norwegian breakfast with homegrown cherries (and another berry local to the area that I am forgetting). Richard even took some amazing pictures of us with his drone and was happy to share those photos/videos! Sleeping on the side of a cliff was a little scary, but Richard’s calm presence and guidance quieted my wife and my anxieties. We would definitely recommend this unique experience!
Our stay at the cliffside camp was incredible! Angel was an absolute pleasure and an attentive, caring and gracious host. We’ve never done anything like this and felt safe the entire time. It was truly a once in a lifetime experience. We definitely did not bring proper clothes for the weather so be sure to bring warm clothing and hiking attire is ideal. Thank you Angel for a fun, special experience – we would definitely come again!
