General terms & conditions
Please not that these terms & conditions are a crucial part of the contract you enter with Estangard AS when you book any of our tours. We therefore ask you to read them carefully before booking. By booking a tour with Estangard AS, you confirm that you have read and understood these terms & conditions and that you agree with them.
Should you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
BOOKING
In order to book a tour with us, you are required to fill out the booking request form. Since we are a small company and want to be able to adapt to individual needs, we do not provide direct bookings. Your first contact with us will therefor always be a request. After sending your booking request for your chosen experience, date, number of people, we will get back to you as soon as possible (usually within 24hrs). It is therefore very important that you provide us with your contact details (including invoicing address). These details are only used to handle your booking and will not be passed on to any third parties. If we can accommodate your request, we will send an invoice to your contact email address. You will receive a booking confirmation, which works as your “entry tickets” as soon as you can show proof that you have transferred the money to our company account.
The booking confirmation also represents the contract between you as the client and Estangard AS as the service provider.
PAYMENT
CANCELLATION POLICY
All cancellations are subject to an administration fee of 300 NOK per booking plus transaction fees for international bank transfers (if applicable).
Cancellations until 1 month before departure: full refund.
Cancellations until 1 week before departure: 50% refund.
Cancellations less than 1 week before departure: no refund.
If you need to cancel your trip due to unforeseen circumstances, please just reach out to us and we can see if we find a solution together. You can always reschedule your experience free of charge if the availability allows it.
2. If we need to cancel your tour:
We will do our best to never cancel the tour that you’ve been so much looking forward to. However, safety has the top priority on all of our tours.
If your safety is threatened in any way, we will cancel your trip.
Unforeseen circumstances & force majeure:
We will not cancel due to bad or uncomfortable weather conditions. We might have to cancel your trip though when bad weather turns into dangerous weather. That can be due to strong winds/storm, very heavy rainfall, forecasted thunderstorm or rock slide risk.
Other unforeseen events include road closures, strikes, the outbreak of a pandemic…
In case of weather related cancellation, we will inform you at least 12 hours before your departure. The weather changes often and fast in Norway, we therefore do not want to cancel too early.
In any way, you will always get a full refund if your tour is cancelled by us due to the weather or other unforeseen circumstances/force majeure.
If we started the tour and need to evacuate due to a shift in weather, you will get a refund of 50%.
Alternatively you can always choose a different date for your tour.
We reserve the right to adjust the itinerary or other parts of the tour in case of unforeseen circumstances/force majeure. No refunds will be given in that case.
Personal health & fitness:
We reserve the right to cancel your tour if we consider your health and safety threatened due to your personal level of fitness or specific health conditions you might suffer from. Please read the tour descriptions carefully to avoid this from happening. In case you are unsure if the tour is the right thing for you, please just reach out us and we’ll help you to clarify things.
When booking, it is your responsibility to make sure that you meet the necessary level of health & fitness for the tour. If we cancel your tour because of your personal health & fitness, you will not be entitled to any refunds for the cancellation.
Meeting point & time:
If you happen to be late, please inform us via the contact phone number we provided in your booking confirmaion. If you arrive too late or not at all, you are not eligible for any refunds. The information about your meeting time and location can be found on our website in the tour description and in the booking confirmation email you receive prior to the tour. It is your responsibility to arrive at the meeting point in time.
AGE LIMIT
There are different age limits on our tours. Please check the tour description beforehand. Please inform us beforehand if a child under the age of 16 is joining the tour so we can adapt accordingly (depending on the age, size and weight, different equipment might be needed). All minors under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Parents have the full responsibility for their children.

HEALTH LIMITATIONS, DIETARY REQUIREMENTS & ALLERGIES
You agree to inform us beforehand if you suffer from any health limitations or allergies that impact you during your tour or if you have any specific dietary requirements. We will accompany your personal needs as best as we can.
BEHAVIOUR
You agree to comply with the rules and regulations on each tour. Your guide will make decisions based on experience and local conditions and might alter parts of the tour in oder to give you the best possible experience. You agree to abide with the decisions made by your guide. The use of drugs before or during the tour, as well as the abusive consumption of alcohol will result in the exclusion from the tour. In that case no refunds will be given.
